I am too old for this community, but even if I were 20 to 30 years younger, I am not sure it would be for me. Too much "community" and not enough "me". This is more like a commune or a Kibbutz and apparently there will be too many rules for me.

All you hear is how crowded things are and then people drive the demand for and purchase in a commune development to stack on top of each other with minimal to no private space. “Walk” ….seriously? have you looked at the average Joe these days, he’s technically obese and circles a parking lot for 10 minutes rather than park in the open spots at the end of the row and walk 150’.

Fleming Island was MUCH nicer back when you saw someone walking you offered them a ride.

Shelbie, You used numbers from the Census Bureau that represents everyone in 32003 NOT in Eagle Harbor. "To put that in perspective, Eagle Harbor in Fleming Island is a 3,000-acre planned community with 29,505 residents living in 11,736 available housing units." Eagle Harbor is 2850 acre planned community with 7,400 registered voters and 3,624 available housing units

So much for our little home town. They will feel like they live in the country and we’ll feel like we are living in the city! Hate it!!!!!!

Really can not believe how the BCC continues to sell out Clay County for the odd chance they will collect even more tax revenue. They do not seem to care how overcrowded we already are and now want to increase the population to further endanger the environment all for the benefit of greedy carpetbaggers. Voting does not seem to matter any more.

That sjc sucks. Now because of greed. Pack em in, who needs farms. Just name it after a farm type thing, fixed it!

Good to see old style American towns coming back. I find there to be a real lack of sense of space and community in these newer subdivisions they put up everywhere. Being able to walk to a park or a corner store sounds wonderful.

Eagle Harbor is far from cookie cutter. Azalea Ridge is what cookie cutter looks like.
