Who Says Alvero Should Resign
'Pack Up That Attitude—Bundle It Tight! Fold It, and Tote It, and Take It from Sight.'
Boy, there sure were a lot of folks at the Clay County School Board meeting Thursday night. And most were clamoring for the resignation of Member Robert Alvero. They accused the man of saying some mean and nasty things. The family of one of the speakers had moved down to Oakleaf from Whoville a while back. That girl sure had a lot to say.

I tremble and wobble when speaking out loud, My knees go ker-plunk! and my heartbeat is proud. But fear or no fear, I stood up today, Because you, Mr. Alvero, are worth what I say.
I’m a Clay County kid, yes indeedity-doo, Orange Park 2025—through and through! My future kids will wear the colors, my grandkids will too, Clay County’s our home… but not you-know-who.
You don’t need to linger where children can see, This scowl and this sneer and this sour old glee. Your tone and your posture, your grumble and grit, Are lessons our youngsters do not need to get.
So pack up that attitude—bundle it tight! Fold it, and tote it, and take it from sight. And anyone else with that same kind of scowl Can march right along in that grumpity prowl.
For here in Clay County—now listen up close—
From red hats to blue hats to folks who don’t boast,
From church bells to silence, from faith to “I don’t,”
We’re united in saying: We simply, well… won’t.We won’t have this bitterness taking up space, We want you quite gone from this warm little place. Our town needs some healing, not snarls and not spite, So please take your leave—yes, today would be right.
I know you have children, so think if you dare: Is this what you want them to carry and wear? This anger, this hardness, this clench in the chest— Is that truly the gift you’d say’s best of the best?
I’ve a little sister coming, soon to arrive, And a six-year-old spark full of wonder and drive. I won’t have their hearts filled with fury and flame, No, that’s not the future we hope to proclaim.
We want love! We want peace! We want hands joined as one! We want neighbors and laughter and days filled with sun. We don’t want this mess, this loud clatter and roar, This world where folks harm one another some more.
So hear us quite clearly—our voices are strong: We need peace. We need love. And we need you gone.
Take it.
And leave.

Democrats are such hypocrites sometimes. Unbelievable all the things said about Charlie Kirk - all over the place! This is no comparison to some of the nasty things I see Democrats say.
Brilliantly creative way to handle serious civic discourse. The Seuss-style framing lets the message about attitude and comunity standards land without feeling heavy handed. I've seen similar local board controversies where the tone of debate matters as much as the substance. The line about bundling up that attitude and taking it from sight captures the community exhaustion better than any policy argument could.
