Accused of Sending Sexually Explicit Photos, Ridgeview High Teacher Attempts Suicide
Suarez's Bond Set at $525,021

Christopher Suarez, a teacher at Ridgeview High School, has been placed on administrative leave after being arrested and accused of sending sexually explicit messages and pictures to a student.
Per the arrest affidavit filed for his criminal case, Suarez attempted to take his own life by slitting his wrists after being contacted by Clay County Sheriff’s office personnel.
Suarez was treated for his injuries and later booked into the Clay County jail.
Suarez is listed as an “Industrial Education Teacher” in the staff directory for Ridgeview High School. He lists “HVAC Teacher” as his profession on social media and is a Marine veteran.
Suarez has no prior criminal record in Clay County, aside from a handful of traffic infractions. He is officially charged with six counts of “Distributing Obscene Material Harmful to a Minor” and one count of “Use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.”
Suarez has been officially declared indigent by the court system and has been appointed a public attorney. His bond is currently set to $525,021, and his next court appearance is scheduled for July 7th, 2026.

Benjamin White, former Oakleaf High School girls’ weightlifting coach, was arrested in 2023 and charged with lewd and lascivious molestation of a student at the school. Two years later, White accepted a plea deal for a lesser charge of child abuse without great bodily harm.
