Donate Drinks, Snacks To Help Firefighters Battling 3,000 Acre Railroad Fire
On Sunday, sparks from a train ignited a fire in the woods of southern Clay County near the border with Putnam County. The Blaze has spread to over 3,000 acres across the two counties and has been dubbed “The Railroad Fire.”
First Responders from Clay, Putnam, and the Florida Forest Service have been working around the clock to contain the fire and evacuate people in its path.
While civilians have been asked to steer clear of the area, there is an opportunity for you to help the people doing the hard work of fighting the fire.
Tomorrow from 7 am to 7 pm, donations of water, sports drinks and snacks can be dropped off. These supplies will do directly to people tasked with putting the fire out.
