Safe Animal Shelter To Host "Howl-O-Ween" Fundraiser
Have A Spooky Good Time, Help Out A Great Cause
Spooky season will start early this year for some people in Clay County. The Safe Animal Shelter is hosting its annual dinner and auction fundraiser, and this year’s theme is “Howl-o-Ween.”
The event will take place on Saturday, April 26th, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Thrasher Horne Center in Orange Park. Tickets are still available and will get you access to the event as described by the Safe Animal Shelter’s website:
The evening will kick off with a spooky cocktail hour featuring a costume contest, photo opportunities in our haunted backdrop, and a chance to explore the treasures in our Silent Auction rooms. Afterward, enjoy a delicious buffet dinner in the banquet hall before heading to the highlight of the night—the Live Auction. Prepare for some spellbinding items that will have you raising your paddles!
Costumes are encouraged for attendees, and all proceeds from the event will support the Safe Animal Shelter. You can purchase your tickets or a sponsorship through the shelter’s website.
The Safe Animal Shelter has been in operation for over 30 years, caring for thousands of cats, dogs, and other animals during this time. In 1991, the Safe Animal Shelter became Clay County’s first no-kill shelter.
Can’t make it to the event? No worries, as the Safe Animal Shelter has numerous animals waiting for adoption right now, like these cats:

Not a cat person? Fear not because the Safe Animal Shelter has options for you, too:

Excellent. They do a great job. We have adopted 2 cats from there.
