She needs to be the first one to be ousted from the board for incompetence. I look forward to being one of the first to sign a recall petition with her being the first on the list. Ironic that Burke gave a several minute diatribe about no-clapping or hand gestures while the residents at the meeting clapped for maybe 5 secs at best. She was the one wasting people's time, not the residents. Her and the other commissioners who voted to proceed with the fee need to be ousted immediately from office. I would be more than happy to sign the recall petition.

Under Florida law, according to Florida Statute § 100.361, these commissioners can be removed for incompetence and I believe that fraud, waste, and abuse of tax payer dollars falls squarely on the majority of our current board. They have clearly mismanaged Clay county tax payer dollars since they were elected to office and they knowing chose to spring this nasty little surprise on the residents to give very little time to fight back waiting until the last possible legally required time to send out a notice to residents, hoping that this would fly under the radar.

She knew about the stormwater issue going back years and, instead of using tax payer dollars to begin proactive steps to fix the issue when it was first reported by the state, she and the rest of the majority, chose to waste our money on frivolous things such as million dollar "Welcome to Clay Signs" and replacing perfectly fine electronic school billboards with new billboards under the guise of "security" whatever that means.

Too bad Commissioner Burke is only accountable to voters in her district instead of the whole county that will be affected by this action.
