Clay County has new eating options in the offing, including a hamburger chain new to the area and a dumpling restaurant with other locations in Florida.
Fatburger has a “coming soon” sign installed in front of the former Dairy Queen at 348 Blanding Blvd. in Orange Park. Fatburger, a fast food restaurant founded in California with locations in 20 countries, is known for their hand-pressed burgers.
They sell one of the biggest burgers in the fast food industry, the XXXL Kingburger (otherwise known as “the triple kingburger”). The menu at other locations include a chicken sandwich, wings, shakes, and several styles of fries, including sweet potato and chili cheese fries.
Zen Dumpling, with locations in Jacksonville and Orlando, has a location coming to 1939 Wells Road, across from the Orange Park Mall. They are known for their fresh, handmade pan fried and steam dumplings as well as tapas, soups, rice and noddle dishes, and desserts in a casual dining restaurant setting.
Tunis is working to establish a fifth location in the Jacksonville area as the casual seafood eatery (featuring subs, burgers, fried chicken and wings) is moving into the old Pizza Hut location on Orange Avenue, Green Cove Springs. The only other Tunis in Clay County is on Blanding Boulevard in Orange Park.
Changes at V Pizza
Meanwhile, V Pizza announced earlier this week that the Fleming Island location has switched from counter service to full service, which was offered at their old location. “You’ll be greeted, seated, and served, from the second you walk in,” managers wrote on Facebook.
Management also announced that all locations will have brunch offerings on the weekends, between 11 a.m. And 2 p.m. The brunch menu has brunch pizza, “Shrunk… so you can try more than one,” brunch calzones, a hash bowl and mimosas.
